This centre is operating since the beginning of year 2000. It has several goals and is offering at this moment the following services: 1 - Activities of basic formation in order to get in or come back to the labour market. 2 - Help in searching a job. 3 - Social activities in order to break loneliness and stimulate sociability and team work skills. 4 - Activities in order to improve the task of being parents. The centre also runs a clothing store where prices are low and women can learn about business management. One of our Sisters is in charge of this centre. |
The nursery Centro Infantil « El Mundo Màgico de los Niños », has room for 30 children and receive since July 1999, those between 2 and 5 year old coming from families in need whose mothers have a precarious job or wish to have a basic formation in order to get in the labour market.. Because of its educational activities and the quality of its staff, completely Ecuadorian, this nursery has become a qualified institution. The direction of the institution is assured by one of our Sisters, in Montreal. |
The foundation for children of Ecuador assure to the poor community of Pascuales, the continuity of the services offered by the nursery named Centro Infantil «El Mundo Màgico de los Niños » and also to their mothers at « El Centro de Mujeres Rosalìa » This two places were founded by the Misericordia Sisters (Soeurs de Miséricorde) of Montreal, Qué. Canada. The founder of this congregation was Rosalie Cadron-Jetté on january 16, 1845. |
